Overview • What is KRONOS TimeKeeper? • KRONOS TimeKeeper System consists of the time clocks used at Central Freight Lines terminals and the programs that convert that information to usable payroll data. • The clocks log the in and out punches made by each employee and allow the employee to review total time for the current pay period. • Clock data is uploaded to the AS/400 computer system where it is used to generate payroll.

  4. How It Works All clocks are are polled continuously

  5. Using KRONOS Timekeeper Type your User Id & Password & press ENTER Sign On screen for the AS/400

  6. Using KRONOS TimeKeeper Press ENTER to continue Company Verification Screen.

  7. Using KRONOS Timekeeper Type 1 & Press ENTER to continue Main Kronos menu. Select option 1 for Daily Processing

  8. Using KRONOS Timekeeper You will not see the other options on this Menu. They are payroll Management menu options. Type 1 & Press ENTER to open Time Editor Daily Processing menu. Select Time Editor.

  9. Selecting Records to Review OR Tab to Supervisor & Press F4 to display all valid Supervisor Codes Type the Supervisor Code & press ENTER. CFL supervisor codes are 3 character codes. This test uses a numeric supervisor code. Time Editor Menu.

  10. Selecting Records to Review Now we see all valid Supervisor Codes. Tab down to the code you have been assigned or type the first letter of the supervisor code and it will position to that letter Time Editor Menu. We have pressed F4 for list of codes

  11. Selecting Records to Review A way to limit the number of records that display on the screen is the use of date & time for the time clock punches To Limit Time Records Displayed, enter Date & Time

  12. Selecting Records to Review Here we selected Supervisor code - 002 Time Editor listing of employees for supervisor.

  13. Selecting Records to Review On the selection screen, we asked for 02/05/01 under supervisor code 002. Display shows only those time punches. Display only selected date range

  14. Selecting an Employee To review an employee’s time clock punches Type 1 & press ENTER Time Editor listing of employees for supervisor.

  15. Employee Time Clock Punches This employee has an automatic deduction for lunch. Other punches are included for department changes. All punches for current pay period are displayed

  18. Edit Time Clock Punches To edit a clock punch record, tab to the line to be edited, type 1 & press Enter Employee Time Clock Punches

  20. Delete Time Clock Punches To select record for deletion, type 4 & press Enter Employee Time Clock Punches

  21. Delete Time Clock Punches To Delete the punch record, press Enter To Cancel the Delete, press F12 Employee Time Clock Punches

  22. Pay Code Breakdown The B=Breakdown option from the Time Editor –Employee Detail screen lets you view pay code totals for any time record. Employee Time Clock Punches

  23. Pay Code Breakdown In this test, the breakdown of hours is by Pay Code REG. In the CFL production system, CK (Clock) is utilized for regular time. Employee Time Clock Punches

  24. Confirming Clock Punch Record Approving Punch Records indicates that the punch has been checked by Supervisor Type A to Approve the Punch Record

  25. Confirming Clock Punch Record After record has been Approved, a 9 will display. 9 in column AP means Approved.

  26. Reviewing the next Employee Press F10 to review next employee’s punch records F9 for previous employee - F10 for next employee

  27. Reviewing the next Employee F10 moves to next employee under the current supervisor code After pressing F10, next employee is displayed

  28. Display where hours are charged The charge column defaults to Labor Levels Labor Levels is normally displayed when reviewing punches To view other charges, press F11

  29. Display where hours are charged After pressing F11, Site (Division) is now viewed. After F11 is pressed, Site (Division) Code is displayed.

  30. Display where hours are charged Press F11 again, and view Department. After F11 is pressed again, Department Code is displayed

  37. Review Employee Defaults Press F14 to view Employee Defaults This displays the set up for the employee

  38. View Detail Punches Press F15 to see all In/Out punch records

  39. View Detail Punches This screen displays all In/Out punches This displays punch records for the employee

  40. Audit Punch Record Changes Press F16 to view all changes to clock punch records

  41. Audit Punch Record Changes The Audit Screen displays any maintenance that has taken place to the Time Clock Punch records.

  42. Inserting Punches If an employee forgets to punch the clock, the supervisor should use F19 (shift + F7) to Insert Punches Insert Employee Time Clock Punches with F19

  43. Inserting Punches If an employee forgets to punch the clock, the supervisor should use F19 to Insert Punches. Enter Date, Time, Pay Code, & Comments Enter Employee Time Info & Press ENTER

  44. Deleting Punch Records Use F20 (shift + F8) to delete a punch. Select F20 to Delete a punch, and this window appears.

  45. Time Tracker Display The Tracker Screen allows viewing of time worked in calendar format This is an example of the F21-Tracker display.

  46. Sample Maintenance Session Enter the Supervisor Code And Start Date & Time And End Date & Time. Press Enter To Begin Reviewing Punches, Enter Supervisor & Date/Time

  47. Sample Maintenance Session Enter 1 to select first employee to review Select Employee for Review of Punch Records

  48. Sample Maintenance Session These are the punches that need to be reviewed for this date. Be sure to verify In/Out times & Labor Levels charged. These are the punches that need to be reviewead for this date. Review punches for accuracy - time in/out, Labor Levels, etc.

  49. Sample Maintenance Session Time records should only be added manually for Vacation, Bereavement, Jury Duty, etc. Press F4 to prompt for valid Pay Codes F6 to add an entry for the selected employee

  50. Sample Maintenance Session To view valid Pay Codes tab to Pay Code & press PF4 This displays all the valid Pay Codes.
