  2. Applying Vygotsky to Instruction Intersubjectivity * Kids know what the tasks is that they are to complete. * Equally shared responsibilities within the group.

  3. Five Components of Scaffolding * provides a support * functions as a tool * extends the range of the worker * allows the worker to accomplish a task otherwise not possible * use selectively to aid the worker where needed (Driscoll 251)

  4. Reciprocal Teaching Intersubjectivity and scaffolding come together.

  5. Strategies for Success Clarify Reread or discuss words or points that were not clear Predict What will happen or what will we learn? READ Summarize Tell what we read. Question After reading, ask a question for others to answer. (Cooper R-16)
