  1. White Birch Summer Day Camp

  2. Mission Statement • White Birch is a unique day program directed towards adults and teenagers with special needs. We focus on life skills, socialization and creating a sense of community within the Town of Palgrave. By working closely with the community, White Birch aims to foster confidence, independence and provide the highest quality of life possible for our participants.

  3. Community of Palgrave • The Community of Palgrave in Caledon is located just north of Bolton at 17090 Regional Road 50. • Our building is close to the Trans Canada Trail, small fishing spots, parks, and we have our large private property for sports. • By having all these amenities close by, this will make the opportunities for our participants endless, and provide new and meaningful experiences. • Our building is equipped with couches, a T.V., computers, two accessible washrooms, air conditioning, and a huge area for outdoor activities.

  4. Camp Activities • The White Birch Summer Day Camp will offer various activities for participants to partake in, such as: • Sports • Hiking • Fishing • Swimming (three times per week) • Board Games • Crafts • Gardening • Trips

  5. Participants • Participants for the White Birch Summer Camp will be from the ages between 14-28. • Ages will be grouped accordingly • Participants will be encouraged to reach their full potential • Our facility is fully accessible with two bathrooms • All individuals with special needs are welcome • Support and staff ratios will determined based on need • Only 10 spots available

  6. Costs • Costs will be discussed with parents on a personal basis.. • Transportation may or may not be provided depending on location. There is other means of transportation we can also look into. • Costs for transportation will be determined on a personal basis. • Trips costs will be determined with plenty notice ahead of time • Parents are to provide for any extra needs of their son/daughter. IE. Toiletries. • Lunch will not be provided, unless otherwise scheduled BBQ’s.
