  2. Biography Ilearned about Sonia Sotomayor. She is from Bronx, New York. Sonia tiene 58 años. She was inspired by Perry Mason, a television show, to be a judge. She attended Cardinal Spellman High School. Sonia tenia mucho determinacion la educaionsupierior. Sonia was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 8 years old. At a young age, she worked at a local retail store and at a hospital with her mother.

  3. Biography: Family She has a brother, a mother, and dad. Her dad died when she was nine and her mother is a widow. Sonia’s brother is a Physician and University Professor. Both of her parents are from Puerto Rico, so she visits there often.

  4. Accomplishment 1 Sonia graduated from a high educated school: Yale Law School. Sonia esunamujermuyinteligente. She got an award for the highest academic honor when she was at Princeton University in 1975. After she graduated from Yale, she was responsible for the cases of murder, robberies, and many more. In 1992, George W. Bush nominated her for the position as U.S. District court Judge for the Southern District.

Accomplishment 1: Supreme Court Justice After she was nominated by Bill Clinton for the 2nd circuit, which she heard more than 3,000 cases and wrote 400 editorials, Sonia became the 1st Latina Supreme Court Justice in U.S. History. She was nominated by Barack Obama on May 26 2009. This was a great achievement because she was the 2nd jurist to be nominated

  7. Legacy Sonia Sotomayor is great inspiration to others. Her first approach to be a judge was when she watched Perry Mason on television. Sonia we muyfiableytrabajdora. She helps other children and adults fight through diabetes. She tells them that is would not stop her from reaching her dreams, and for them to never give up too. Sonia estalentosa. She wrote a book about her life, called My Beloved World, so she can inspire others just like Perry Mason did to her.
