  2. The Campaign of Armageddon The First Stage: The Assembling of the Allies of the Antichrist (Rev. 16:12-16) The Second Stage: The Destruction of Babylon (Zech. 5:5-11; Isaiah 13-14; Jeremiah 50-51, Rev. 17-18) The Third Stage: The Fall of Jerusalem (Zech. 12:1-3; 14:1-2, Micah 4:11-5:1)

  3. The Third Stage: The Fall of Jerusalem The antichrist moves south, and all the armies of all nations will gather against Jerusalem. (Zech. 12:1-3)

  4. Jerusalem falls into gentile hands and half of the Jewish population will be taken into slavery while the other half will be allowed to remain in the city to await a later fate. (Zech. 14:1-2)

  5. Prior to God’s actual intervention (2nd Coming) God providentially greatly energizes the Jews to withstand the attack to a great degree, causing heavy losses to the armies of the Antichrist. (Zech 12:4-9)

  6. The armies will be confused and blinded. V.4 • The leaders of Israel will strike their enemies as quickly as a torch burns wood that is very dry. V.6 • God will save the tents of Judah first before He saves Jerusalem. V.7 • The feeble will have the strength of David. V. 8 • The Davids of Israel will have the strength of the Angel of YHWH. V.8

  7. 11 Now also many nations have gathered against you, Who say, "Let her be defiled, And let our eye look upon Zion." 12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, Nor do they understand His counsel; For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor. 13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; For I will make your horn iron, And I will make your hooves bronze; You shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the Lord, And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth." 1 Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek. Micah 4:11-5:1

  8. Israel will lose the battle (Micah 5:1) • The soldiers of the Antichrist will plunder the Jewish homes of Jerusalem and the Jewish women will be subject to massive rapes. (Zech 14:2)

  9. The Fourth Stage: The Armies of the Antichrist at Bozrah (Jeremiah 49:13-14) The Jews who listened to the Messiah will flee to Petra and be taken care of by the Lord with food and water. (Matt. 24:16; Rev. 12:6, 14; Isa. 33:13-16; , 41:17-20; 65:8-16; Dan 11:40-45; Micah 2:12) At this point, three days are left before the Second Coming

The Fifth Stage: The National Regeneration of Israel • The basis of the Second Coming • Their must be the confession of Israel's national sin (Lev. 26:40-42; Jer. 3:11-18; Hos. 5:15) • There must be a pleading for the Messiah to return (Psalm 79:1-13; 80:1-19; Isa. 64:1-12; Zech 12:10-13:1; Matt. 23:37-39)

  11. The Campaign of Armageddon will begin its last three days when Israel repents. Hos. 6:1-3 • 1 Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. 2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. 3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

  12. The Campaign of Armageddon will begin its last three days when Israel repents. Hos. 6:1-3 • Israel will acknowledge the sin demanded in Hosea 5:15 • The Jewish leaders issue a call to the nation to repent and confess their national sin since they realize why the Tribulation has fallen on them. (vv.1-2)

  13. The leaders must lead the nation of Israel to accept Christ since it was the leaders who lead the nation to reject Him at the first Coming. The confession of Israel’s national sin will last for the first twodays. The words of the confession is Isaiah 53:1-9 On the third day, the nation will be saved, fulfilling the prophecy of Romans 11:25-27. The Remnant has become “all of Israel” (Romans 11:25-27; Zech 13:8-9; Isa. 4:2; 10:20-23; 37:31-32; 41:8-16; Joel 2:32, Obadiah 17, Micah 2:12-13)

  14. The pleading and mourning for the Messiah will result in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the cleansing of Israel’s sin. (Zech. 12:10-13:1; Joel 2:28-32) The nation is then regenerated which fulfills Ezekiel’s dry bones vision. (Ezk. 37:14)
