  1. Food Chains

  2. Ecosystems What is an ecosystem? A community formed by the interaction of organisms with their environment. Ecosystems are made up of biotic (living) organisms and abiotic (non-living) factors. Within an ecosystem there exists a feeding relationship between producers, consumers and decomposers.

  3. Food Chains What is a Food Chain? The order of feeding relationships in an ecosystem Who eats Who How does a food chain work? A food chain is made up of three different type of organisms: Producers  Consumers  Decomposers (Plants) (Animals)

  4. Food Chain GRASS  RABBIT  WORM (producer)  (consumer)  (decomposer)

  5. Food Chain GRASS  RABBIT  FOX  WORM (producer)  (consumer)  (consumer)  (decomposer) There can be more than one consumer in a Food Chain.
