  2. What is Classroom 2.0? • A unique social network for educators to share ideas • A site that provides blogs, forums, wikis, and other groups that allow educators to communicate • Discuses specific ways to use Web 2.0 efficiently in the classroom • MySpace meets Facebook • www.classroom20.com

  3. How is it used? • “An educational resource that uses digital resources to improve student learning and foster 21st century skills.” • Classroom 2.0 Live! • Blogs • Forums • Chat • Emphasizes what Web 2.0 provides and how to use those resources within the classroom

  4. Wiki • Wiki – According to www.google.com, a wiki is, “a website that allows the easy creation and editing of any number of interlinked web pages.” • Allows for collaboration • Editing Information • Accessing links

  5. Blogs • A blog is a webpage that includes discussion and ideas from a specific person • Creates opportunity for discussion through opinions • Informative

How will this help students? • Teachers will be better prepared to educate their students on new technology resources • When teachers understand how blogs, wikis, forums, podcasts, and vodcasts work, they can implement them in the classroom setting • Students can learn to share information and create projects in new and exciting ways
