  2. IN THE INCA MOUNTAINS My name is Cuntur, which means condor. I am 16 years old and was born on may 28, 1491 I am part of the Inca empire. My family and I live in the mountains. This is….. MY STORY… (And my boring journal.)

  3. Journal entry #1: Housing and Food Oooooooh… its hard doing all this work. My dad is teaching me how to chisel a piece of stone. He says I should be an architect when I gr- oh wait…. I didn't see you there. This is my house. It has a straw roof and walls of stone. If danger comes to our town, we hide in a big stone fortress that protects us. Wait just a sec, no dad I don’t care if your stone is blue! Anyway… I should talk about our clothes. We make stylish tunics out of llama and alpaca fur. we dye and weave them together. We eat corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, beans, tapioca, peppers, peanuts, and quinoa. we grow them on things called terraces (the structure not your cousin.) We eat cuy (that’s guinea pig) and alpaca (Yummy!) for protein. We drink llama milk and water, of course (just water, not llama water).

  5. Journal entry #2: Geography We Incas live in 3 different regions: the mountains, the jungle, and the desert. If you can read, you would know that I live in the mountains. There are a lot of bridges that go across ravines, but when the enemy approaches, we burn them!! In the jungle, there is a lot of fruit and wood, but we don’t live there. In the dese- wait a sec, dad! I don’t care about your tunic!!!! Yes it looks nice, (like a llama threw up on it…) so be quiet!!!!! phew… now, about the desert, it is more than 2,000 miles long, so don’t try to hike through it. It is very dry, but… it still has a few rivers in it. Wait, I gotta eat dinner. We have some friends coming over and I’d hate to miss it. Be back in a few hours!!!!!!!!! DERP

  6. Journal entry #3: Weather Whew! It is hot out! The weath- oh! you’re here again! I should talk about the weather. Most of the time, it is just average. But sometimes, it can be snowy or rain just pours down on us. When it snows, it can snow a lot, because we are up in the mountains. In the jungle, it is dry, and rainy. In the desert……… I think you can guess. So mostly, we get average weather conditions. So th- MOM!!! WHY THE HECK DID YOU SNEAK UP ON ME LIKE THAT!!! Can’t you see I’m trying to write!!! Okay… we get perfect weather for farming and now I am scared of my mom………… so we get sunny weather, and sometimes bad weather. So I’ll see you next time!

  7. REFLECTION #1, 20 years later Things aren’t looking to good for us. You know my uncle? The crazy hermit? Well he told us that some people in weird helmets were coming to take us. Nobody believed him, but he was right. The next day, weird people came on weird things they called horses. I don’t trust them, and I am not going near them. They have more powerful weapons and are messing up our farms. I noticed a lot of people are getting a weird sickness that we can’t fix. I sense a dark future for us Incas. This is all I can write because I have a thing that they call a gun pointed to my neck. I’d better stop now. Bye!!!! (Not that kind.)

  8. REFLECTION #2 Finally!! Last important slide! I shall now write my last reflection. I learned more about the lifestyle of the Incas and what there names are. My dad helped me learn that “Ozcollo” is not, in fact, Incan. I liked being creative and making Cuntur say stuff like “it looks like a llama threw up on it…”.I didn’t like writing about weather because I couldn’t find good resources. To be honest, I would grade myself a B+. I don’t know what I would do differently if I had to do it again. I had to write the project all over again because the *** computer deleted it after I did 2 journal entries . I am thankful that my dad is an archeologist because then I would not know all this stuff about the Incas. He took me and my family to Peru, and went to Machu Picchu and let us learn a lot of stuff. I hope you appreciate all this work I have done and I am sorry my person could not be an ocelot. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( P.S. yes, Inca do eat guinea pigs. )
