Hans Zimmer • Has been composing music since 1977 • Can play the piano, keyboard, MIDI master keyboard, synthesizer, guitar, and Cubase • Head of the film music division at DreamWorks studios and works with other composers through the company he founded, Remote Control Productions • Suzanne Zimmer is his wife. He has been divorced one time. • He has two children: Zoe and Jake Zimmer.

Die Musik • He has composed for over 100 films. • The Lion King, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron are some of his well known works. • His score for Rain Man earned him his first Academy Award, in 1988.

Die Musik • Entered the world of film music after a long collaboration with Stanley Myers, another famed composer. • James Newton Howard has worked with Hans Zimmer to compose the music for Batman Begins,The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. • He worked with Lisa Gerrard for Gladiator. • John Powell and Hans Zimmer worked together for the Kung Fu Panda score. • Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL created the score for Man of Steel.

It was number 1 on The Billboard 200 in 1994. The Lion King was number 21 for nine years on U.S. Billboard 200.
