  1. THE FOUNDATION STEP IS TO CLEAR THE BASICS AND THEN THE NEXT LEVEL. --------------------- READ RELATED TOPICS IN ALL SUBJECTS THAT HAVE PRACTICAL VALUE.

  2. Read previous year exam question papers. Ensure to prepare the answers in a confident manner. You need to know the question type that has been asked.

  3. Do not read lot of books and confuse yourself. Read few quality books and standard books that cover your concept. Such books serve an excellent guide.

  4. It is best to read NCERT books used till class X for the prelims preparation. To concentrate on mains, you need to read books recommended for class XI and XII. READ NCERT BOOKS

  5. To prepare for the mains, you have to refer and be thorough with the last 10 years exam paper. Keep the prescribed and standard books handy for any time and last minute reference.

  6. COVER SYLLABUS Clearing an exam and learning for the exam are two completely different things. It is best to cover all syllabus on a range basis and not on depth basis.

  7. ----- It is good to read daily newspapers such as The Hindu so that you can gain vast knowledge. It is best option than reading current affairs book.

  8. Never ever try to reduce your sleep timings. It can affect your overall health performance. If you get enough sleep, you can remain fresh and prepare well.

  9. There is only 120 days gap between the prelims exam and the mains exam. You have to plan well and prepare to cover the whole syllabus.

  10. MOCK TEST After completion of your exam preparation for IAS. Take the online mock test to ensure your time consumption.
