  2. Mission Statement • We are the Nebraska Association of Student Councils (NASC). Our purpose, very simply, is to promote youth leadership in the state of Nebraska. Specifically, NASC exists in order to: • Promote effective student councils in Nebraska high schools and middle schools • Encourage idea-sharing among student leaders and advisors in Nebraska • Encourage networking with other student leaders and advisors across the country • Provide training and development for student leaders and advisors
