  1. CHRIST THE PRIEST:THE WAY GOD SEES US Subtopic: HE SEES THE ADVOCATE John 14:16 (KJV) 1 John 2:1-2 (KJV)

  2. 1 John 2:1-2 (KJV) 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1.One who speaks in defense; an advocate; someone who pleads for another person. One who pleads the cause of another.

  3. The word advocate (Lat. advocatus) might designate a consulting lawyer or one who presents his client’s case in open court; or one who, in times of trial or hardship, sympathizes with the afflicted and administers suitable direction and support.

  4. Sin separates the believer from God, making him guilty of transgression and worthy of condemnation and punishment. But Jesus Christ is the believer's Helper—His Advocate. Jesus Christ stands before God to plead the case of the believer.

  5. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. 2.I have written the word to you.

  6. 1 John 2:1 that ye sin not. 3. The word that give you will keep you from sinning.

  7. 1 John 2:1 And if any man sin. 4. Run to God as quick as possible and confess it.

  8. 1 John 2:1 we have an advocate with the Father: 5. We have a defense attorney before God.

  9. 1 John 2:1 Jesus Christ the righteous: 6. Our advocate is Jesus Christ.

  10. How Does He Defend Our Case 7. He can say nothing good of us, He can say much for us. It is His righteousness,

  11. 8. He has been defeated by the high priestly work of our Advocate. Revelation 12:10-11 (KJV) 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

  12. 9. When you sin, Satan goes before God to accuse you that you will not obey.Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

  13. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb This Is How Christ Pleads Our Case: He Shows What He Did On The Cross.

  14. Revelation 12:11 and by the word of their testimony; 10. I need to tell everyone what Jesus means to me.

  15. Matthew 10:33 (KJV) 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Revelation 12:11 and they loved not their lives unto the death.11. This is when you truly have to put him first in your life.

  16. Who Can Press Charges Or Accuse Us?Romans 8:33-34 (KJV) 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. And his charges will contain truth, because despite being saved, we still will sin.

  17. 12.But the charges won't stick—God will throw Satan's accusations out of court because he has chosen us.

  18. Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

  19. 13. Who is going to condemn them? Nobody can condemn them. Christ has removed all condemnation, and the believer is secure because of the fourfold work of Christ:

  20. It is Christ that died, A.In His death He took upon Himself the full penalty for our sins.

  21. yea rather, Christ was raised from the dead, B.Proving His victory over sin and over its supreme penalty of death. The grave could not hold Jesus,

  22. Christ is at the right hand of God, C.He is up there right now, my friend. As my defense.

  23. He maketh intercession for us. D.Did you pray for yourself this morning? You should have. But if you missed praying, He didn't. He prayed for you.

  24. He maketh intercession for us. D.Did you pray for yourself this morning? You should have. But if you missed praying, He didn't. He prayed for you. Psalms 62:2 (KJV) 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense;

  25. 14. I shall not be greatly moved. Those Who Would Do Us Harm Simply Do Not Have The Power To Move Us If We Make God Our Defense.

  26. 14. I shall not be greatly moved. Those Who Would Do Us Harm Simply Do Not Have The Power To Move Us If We Make God Our Defense.
