  1. Slab Series 1. Students will be required to complete a series of three slab containers, lids are optional. 2. Students will create containers ranging from small, 4-5 inches, medium, 7-8 inches, to large, 10-12 inches. 3. Students must complete a series of drawings in their notebooks for submission and approval. These drawing should represent composition, form, decoration and ideas regarding the finished surface. These ideas must reference a historical, modern, or national style.

The Rubric for this task • 100-90 Students who achieve at the highest level for this grading criteria and who demonstrate an extra creative effort may receive this score for their work. • 89-80 Students who are proficient for this grading criteria and who demonstrate active class involvement may receive this score for their work. • 79-70 Student who have a basic grasp of this grading criteria and demonstrates active class involvement and/or limited application of the concept may receive this score for their work. • 69-60 Students are at below basic proficiency for this grading criteria and demonstrates limited class involvement and limited application of the concept may receive this score for their work. • 59-0 Students who submit work that is unacceptable for this criteria and who demonstrates limited class involvement may receive this score for their work.
