Activities for Nov. 14th Thursday – November 14 Purpose: Half-day stand down to focus on individual organizations’ safety and health activities, including Safety and Health training and education Activities: • 9:00 - 10:00 am Teague Auditorium, Kick-Off & Guest Speaker – Distracted Driving, Christine Yager, Texas A&M Transportation Institute • 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Bldg. 30 Lobby, Flu shots in • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm Exhibits, informational displays, demonstrations • 4:00 - 5:00 pm Health Run/Walk, Gilruth Rec. Safety and Health Training Throughout the week, as a part of organizational activities employees will be encouraged to: • Take annual training • Review building evacuation procedures/plans • Discuss measures taken for a work-related injury • Perform work-area housekeeping • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) • Discuss workplace hazards with supervisor and co-workers • Perform walkthroughs/inspections of work areas • Conduct disAbility awareness activities
