  1. Disability Resource Center Key Projects & Tasks 2011-2012

Improve Student Success & Enhance Educational Opportunity • educational outreach to faculty and staff regarding disability related issues and DRC processes & procedures • presentations in classes on access issues and specific disabilities • collaborate with Veterans Services and Athletics to improve support for student success • presentations on transitioning to higher education at high schools and transition institutes; presentations on disability access at middle schools and high schools

  3. Expand Resources, Improve Effective &Achieve Global Excellence • Presentation:“Lessons Learned on Students with Disabilities Accessing Study Abroad” at the 34th Annual Association on Higher Education And Disability Conference • legal review of our current forms and contracts • new online services system • improve student access and makes assessing student success & retention much easier • will also be used to assess both student & faculty satisfaction with DRC systems and services

  4. Provide Civic Leadership through Partnerships • OVRS; OCB; VA; AHEAD/ORAHEAD; Connecting Communities Coalition; Incight; The City of Portland; Local High Schools • Collaboration with General Counsel; Office of Diversity and Inclusion; OUS; and various PSU Academic Departments • Web accessibility with a focus on Online Learning & Compliance with ADA/504 regulations
