  1. Poseidon (Greek)Neptunus (Roman) Parents: Kronos & Rhea. Birthplace: The island of Crete. Attributes: Chariots&Horses, Trident, Sacred Animals&Plants, and Palace Aegean. God of:Water (rivers), Floods&Droughts, Earthquakes, Horses, Chariots, and King of the Mediterranean Sea. Favorite Place: Posidonia, which is now called Paestum, which is in Italy.

  2. Pictures of Poseidon This is a pre- 476 A.D. picture of Poseidon. I chose this picture because it shows attributes. The horses & chariot, and it looks like he could possibly be on water. He is the King of the sea, which is why if he was on water, the water could represent his being of the king of the sea. Also, I like this picture because he looks in charge, which he should be because he is King of the Sea. Pre 476 A.D.

  3. This modern-day picture of Poseidon symbolizes mainly the fact that he is God of Water & Floods. That is why I chose this picture. It really shows his power of the water, in more modern form. Also, this picture is very different from the pre 476 A.D. picture, yet they show the same message. The message that Poseidon was the God/King of the water/ sea. Modern Picture
