  1. What Draws Men To Jesus?

  2. What Draws Men To Jesus? John 12:32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

  3. His Sinless Character John 8:46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

  4. His Sinless Character John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps

  5. His Loving Disposition Mark 9:10f Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” Mark 2:15 Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. Luke 5:31 Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

  6. His Compassion • Matthew 9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. • Matthew 20:29-34 • John 8:1-11

  7. His Relationship to the Father John 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven John 5:17-19 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” 18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

  8. His Relationship to the Father John 14:10f Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14:7-9 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? John 10:30 I and My Father are one.”

  9. His Miracles • His fame was widespread. • Matthew 4:24-25 • Multitudes followed Him. • Matthew 8:1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. • They marveled at the great works that they had never seen before • Matthew 9:8 Now when the multitudes saw it,they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men.

  10. His Miracles Some of His Miracles • John 6:19 - walked on water • Mark 4:39 - stilled the tempest • Matthew 14:21 - fed the multitude • Raised the dead: • Jairus’ daughter - Mark 5:22-23 • Widow’s son - Luke 7:11f • Lazarus - John 11 • John 9 – The man born blind John 20:30-31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. cf. 21:25

  11. His Teaching • Matthew 7:28f-29 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. • John 7:46 The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!”

  12. His Teaching • His teaching drew multitudes • Matthew 13:1f On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. • Matthew 15:10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: • Mark 2:1-2 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately[a] many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.

  13. His Death Romans 5:6-8 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  14. His Resurrection • Jesus is unique among men in that he rose from the dead never to die again. • Other religions don’t make that claim. • His dead body was raised to life again and witnessed by men. • 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 • He spoke as one who had power to raise the dead. • John 5:25-29

  15. His Resurrection • He alone has the solution to our fear of death. • Hebrews 2:14-15 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. • He is qualified to speak to us about eternal life because of who He is, confirmed by His resurrection. • Romans 1:4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

  16. His Words of Eternal Life Matthew 19:16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” John 6:67-68 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” 68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
