  1. Ms. Terrelonge Science

  2. About Me • I have been teaching for 13 years. • I taught in Maryland and New York. • I expect the best from all students. • I just recently had a baby and now have 3 boys. • I know we will have a great year if everyone is on board to learn.

  3. Classroom Rules Do’s • Come to class on time daily. • Enter the room quietly (NO TALKING). • Come prepared with ALL materials needed. • Begin your opening immediately. • Raise hand to speak or to leave your seat. • Be prepared and ready to answer opening if called on.

  4. Classroom Rules Do Not’s • Enter the room talking or playing. • Walking around the room without permission • Bringing food and drinks into classroom • Talking without permission • Disrespecting classmates • Leaving room without permission or pass • Disrespecting teacher.

  5. Rituals and Routines Come to class on time.Students should line up outside in a silent single file line until admitted to enter by teacher or administrator. Standing outside the door and rushing in after the bell has begun to ring will constitute a tardy. You must be INSIDE the door when it begins ringing to be counted on time.  Begin the spongeactivity immediately upon entering the room. Please do not wait for me to remind you to begin since I need to take roll and attend to other duties for the first few minutes of the period. When I begin class, be ready to respond to the opening question.

  6. Rituals and Routines Attend to personal needs before coming to class.I have been instructed not to give passes to lockers and to limit passes, so please do not ask for a pass unless you have a true emergency.Remain in your assigned seat unless you have permission to get up. Throw scraps away at the end of the period on your way outor ask for my permission before you get out of your seat.

  7. Rituals and Routines • Do not eat candy or other food in class unless you have been given special permission.Food, candy, or drinks are not permitted in the classroom, unless I give them out or we are instructed to eat in classroom by administration. • Bring required materials every day unless you are otherwise directed. You should bring your binder and a writing utensil EVERYDAY!!!

  8. Rituals and Routines • Talk only when permitted. Be aware of class and assignment expectations, since quiet talking is allowed in some situations. • Use polite speech and body language.Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is unacceptable.

  9. Rituals and Routines • Do not cheat. Students caught cheating will receive a zero and a phone call home. Both the student who shares his work for an independent assignment AND the person who copies it will suffer the same consequences. I expect you to do your own work and to be sure no one can copy it.  • Follow the teacher's directions immediately. Do what you are supposed to do, and if you are unsure ask.

  10.
