  3. SHOW UP • Make Yourself Known • Show up at events • Town Hall Meetings • Community Meetings

  4. SHOW UP • They need labor not just money • They always need help to: • Put up signs • Block Walk • Phone Bank • Worker at Event • Help Clean up after Event

  5. BUILD RELATIONSHIP • VOLUNTEER • Host a “meet & greet” at your home • Host a fundraiser • Stuff or address mailers

  6. BUILD RELATIONSHIP • LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES OF COMMON INTEREST • Golf • Hunting • Scouting • Civic Club, i.e. Rotary, Lions, etc. • Spouses with common interest • Kids with common interest

  7. BECOME A PERSON OF INFLUENCE • TAKE ON ADDITONAL ROLES THAT CARRY INFLUENCE • Become a Precinct Chair or Election Judge • Run for School Board or City Council • Run for Officer of Local Chamber of Commerce • Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee of an Organization

  8. BECOME A PERSON OF INFLUENCE • BECOME A COMMUNITY ACTIVIST

  9. BECOME AN EXPERT • LEADERS DEPEND ON SOMEONE WHO IS AN EXPERT IN A PARTICULAR AREA, NOT JUST ON SOMEONE WHO HAS AN OPINION AND WHO CANNOT GIVE ALL SIDES OF A SITUATION AND WHY THEIR POSITION IS THE BEST BASED ON THE FACTS.
