What is Life-Cycle Cost Analysis? • Life-Cycle Cost Analysis is the measurement of Life-Cycle Cost • In our case, we will be measuring the Life-Cycle Cost of products we purchase all the time “Life-Cycle Cost”: The pollutants, land use, and raw material extraction that go into the manufacture, transport, use, and disposal of a product.

  5. So now that we have a some-what firm grasp of Life-Cycle Cost Analysis, what is the LCCA Tool and what will it be used for?

TERMINOLOGY: • CruzBuy= UCSC’s eCommerce Portal (like Amazon!) • Requesters vs. Buyers: • Requesters= faculty and staff on campus that send in requests to the Purchasing Department, asking to purchase products • Buyers= staff within the Purchasing Department that receive the requests and ensure compliance with policy
