  4. Choose the Order of Your Response • Arrange your brainstorm into body paragraphs, including details using a Tree Map or Outline. *Remember: ✔ your paper. Read it before you turn it in!

Okay, so now it’s your turn! • Try the A-B-C Strategy out with this prompt: There are many benefits to having an active lifestyle.  Participation in band, drama, or even community activities are a great way for young people to stay busy.  Many parents see sports as a way for their children to have fun and stay out of trouble.   Write a persuasive essay to your coach telling him why you feel that your playing time should be increased. Include details to support your claim. Be sure to defend your argument with precise and relevant evidence, address the potential biases and counterclaims, and provide a call to action.
