  1. Ancient Egypt Architecture/sports By Joel Marasa

  2. pyramids -The most famous structure in all of Egypt, are the Pyramids they are still the world’s best architectural achievement -The pyramids can be as tall as 147 metres tall -The first step of building a pyramid is the slaves would chisel a cube out of granite -next they would wait till flood season so the water would wash the granite to the pyramids -next they would haul the cube up a ramp. Then, ropes and levers were used to manoeuvre the huge blocks into position -there were many accidents at the construction site. There were doctors on the site, but little helped for sprained or broken body parts

  3. Tombs -Before the pyramid, the kings used to be buried inside of tombs -The tomb itself was usually composed of two distinct parts: the chapel and crypt -Tombs where made for building a tunnel into a mountain

  4. statues -Also scattered throughout Egypt are stone figures. These figures could look like a lion, a king, and eagle, or maybe even a mixture of both -many of these relics have either been destroyed, vandalized, or stolen -You could see a lion figure with no nose, an eagle with no head, or, an empty stand where a figure once stood -They are also made out of granite

  5. sports -The Ancient Egyptians enjoyed a variety of different sports. -Sporting artefacts have also been found in tombs -The Ancient Egyptians were also known to enjoy competitive sports and were an exciting form of entertainment -The winners of sports contests were rewarded with money and special large collars known as the usekh which half covered the shoulders and chest -Many of the competitive Ancient Egyptian sports are still featured in the Olympic Games.

  7. Others sports Other games the Egyptians play where Hockey, Gymnastics ,Javelin, Throw Fishing, Boxing, Weightlifting, High Jump Swimming, Rowing, Archery ,Marathons, Tug of War and Tug of hoop
