  3. History of the flag The three blue stripes are the symbols of the original three provinces. The triangle is a symbol, here signifying liberty, equality. The red color is for the blood sacrificed by the Cuban patriots.

  4. Language and Religion • The language they speak is Spanish! • The religion of Cuba is mainly Catholic.

  5. Population • The population of Cuba is 11,087,330 (as of July 2011.)

  6. Capital City • Cuba’s capital city is Havana. This is the capital building in Havana

  7. Climate • The climate/ temperature of Cuba/ average is minimum temperature is 21° C (70° F ), the average maximum 27° C (81°).

  8. Location • The location of Cuba is in the Caribbean!

  9. Their education was first founded in 1727! Cuba is a meeting point of European, African, Chinese, and continental North American cultures little of the original Amerindian culture survives. See it’s a little different than ours. Interesting Facts

  10. Government President Fidel Castro ruled from 1959 to 2008 and transformed Cuba into a communist state. The Communist Party is the leading force of society.

  11. Economy • In the 1950s, Cuba had a extremely unequal economy, with a large capital to foreign investors. The country has made significant progress since the Revolution towards a more even income. Pesos! (money)

  12. Tourist Attractions Tourism in Cuba attracts over 2 million people a year. With its favorable climate and beaches. Cuba has been an attractive destination for tourists. These are the top five beaches in Cuba is Cayo Santa Maria’s beach ,Varadero beach , Cayo Coco , Guardalavaca beach , Cayo Largo beach.
