first focus A brief outdoor meeting during which we highlight a theme or focus for the day with a mini-lesson.
sit-spots One person. One place. Each student uses the same place all year for 5-15 minutes of observation, introspection and place-making.
morning meeting Students share a nature note or “I notice,” we check the thermometer and discuss the plans for the day.
