Media Center Resources • We offer students: • Books and databases for your research needs • Books, graphic novels, and magazines for independent reading • Space to collaborate, study, use computers • Group study room • Audiobooks (soon!) • More every day • We do not offer: • Social hangout • Laptops for individuals • Textbooks for use outsidethe library

  8. When We’re Not Enough • Use other campus resources: • Learning Center • Computer Labs • Use off-campus resources: • Robbins Library • Boston Public Library

Media Center Hours & Passes • Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 4:00pm • No pass required before and after school • Special pass is required during class time • We write passes before school, during lunch, and during passing time, but NOT during class • Our space is limited … but you’re always welcome to come in for a book

  11. Media Center Ground Rules • All students must be signed in • Only four students per table • Academic work comes first • No food or drink, per school rules • No computer or card games • Do not disturb others

  12. Getting Help • Use the website (we made it special for you!) • Ask the librarian a question • Make an appointment with the librarian • Email the librarian (see website link)

  13. Getting Involved • Volunteer for community service hours • Join the Student Library Advisory Committee • Recommend a book (see website link) • Share great ideas with the librarian • Help us take care of YOUR space

  23. Trouble Logging On? • Use school email to log on to Chromebooks: • Your username is your first initial, last name, and year of graduation • For example: jsmith2016@spyponders.com • Temporary Password: purple2012 • Don’t get distracted by choosing an icon, or the zombies will eat your brains

  24. You have until just before to avoid the living dead the end of the period and complete your tasks.

How Did You Do? • Completed all four exercises • You are way too fast for THESE zombies • Completed three exercises • Couple of tooth marks on your shoes, but you made it … for now • Completed two exercises • Zombies ate your legs • Completed one exercise or less • Zombies ate your brains, better luck next time
