  2. The Maltese breed as recognized by the American Kennel Club is a member of the toy group of dogs. Between four and seven pounds they weigh generally, and in the range of nine and ten inches is their height. White is the most preferred color. A very dignified mantle of long, silky hair is present in the non-shedding Maltese. Their hair is pure white in color, and bright, straight and they don't have an undercoat. Their trademark is the lovely coat of white and these dogs don't shed.

  3. Among the oldest of the Toy breeds The Maltese breed is generally considered to be one. Their lovely little dog is favored by aristocracy, nobles and royalty. They are very well-mannered dogs, and affectionate too. A demeanor that is graceful and regal is displayed by them. Joy and delight are positively exuded b the Maltese dogs.
