Lancome reveals A new reading of the skin Today LANCOME has tapped into a science that gives us a new reading of skin's most intricate structures: STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY we have used the principles of structural biology to identify, item by item, each of skin's building blocks. From the very smallest to the most obvious, to explore the connections between them and, level by level, layer by layer, come to understand the complex organisation of the structure as a whole. 4. So what is connecting the 5 layers together? They are connected with 10 different proteins, defined as skin connectors. For RENERGIE Multi-Lift, and for the very first time in the cosmetic industry, we have targeted no fewer than 10 of these connectors, 5 of these are new and were identified by Lancome.For healthy skin, these connectors must be present and correctly connected to their surrounding structures what is it that these connectors do? they play five major roles: Collagen VI in the hypodermis, firms the deepest layer of the skin creating a firm and solid base for skins architecture.
