  3. Why Study the Greek Language? • To be thoroughly acquainted with God’s word (2 Timothy 2:15) • Original language of most of the NT • Translations- eqivalence text vs paraphrase text (Ben Sira’s grandson) • True meanings of words, phrases, and whole text may be lost in translation.
