AIM OF THE WORKSHOP To assist Governments in the process of preparing for the audit under the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS)

OBJECTIVE OF THE WORKSHOP To provide participants with advice on the structure and mechanism necessary for enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of implementation of the provisions of the mandatory IMO instruments and the III Code, with a view to assisting maritime administrations in the effective preparation for audit under the Scheme.

INTRODUCTION GENERAL WORKSHOP INFORMATION • DURATION: FIVE DAYS • TIMES: 09:00 to 17:00 HOURS EACH DAY • ATTENDANCE: COMPULSORY

INTRODUCTION ENTRY LEVEL • PARTICIPANTS SHOULD: • HAVE A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF HOW A MARITIME ADMINISTRATION FUNCTIONS • BE FAMILIAR WITH MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF RELEVANT IMO INSTRUMENTS • BE PROFICIENT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
