  1. Welcome to Shambhala Dental Clinic, The best option to have a smile makeover : Pregnancy and Dental care Pregnancy affects nearly every aspect of a woman’s physical health, including her teeth. If you’re expecting, you may have noticed some changes in your oral health or dental routine. Here are a few things that pregnancy can do to your teeth and mouth: 1) Pregnancy-Induced Gingivitis. It’s common to notice changes in your gums during pregnancy. In some cases, gums may look redder, or bleed as you brush your teeth. Some women also have severe swelling and bleeding in the gums during this time. In many cases, this condition is directly related to being pregnant. 2) Excess saliva. Sometimes, pregnancy can make you feel like there is too much saliva in your mouth. This condition is common early on but typically decreases toward the end of the first trimester. 3) Dry mouth. On the other end of the spectrum, pregnancy can cause dry mouth syndrome. Fortunately, this is easy to combat by staying hydrated and sucking sugarless hard candies to stimulate saliva production. Here are a few things you can avoid to have a bad oral health during pregnancy: 1)Routine dental check-ups It is always beneficial to have a routine dental check-up and not wait until there is a discomfort or problem. During pregnancy, it is all the more essential to keep your dentists visits regular. Keeping the dentist aware of any medical condition relevant to your pregnancy and any unusual symptoms might help them in helping you maintain a good oral hygiene and use the right kind of oral products. 2) Cleaning more often Pregnancy increases the chances of gingivitis. To maintain a good oral hygiene, a pregnant woman must clean and rinse the mouth more often to remove any food residue or acid build up. 3) Following a healthy oral regime Along with regular brushing and flossing, a pregnant woman must follow a higher degree of care. Regular rinsing of mouth with water and with a mouthwash to eliminate plaque, germs and acid build up. It is not advisable to brush teeth immediately after vomiting as it increases the risk of damage to the gums due to the high level of acidity present in the vomit.

  2. 4) Right diet While it is normal for a pregnant woman to crave for all kinds of food, limiting the cravings to healthy food options and opting less sugary and more nutritious food like fruits and vegetables. http://shambhalagroup.com/ PR Contact: Shambhala 8-3-978/3, Flat No.201, Nalamada Apartments, Above Bigbyte Bakery, Srinagar Colony, Hyd-500073.
