  2. GOD is building His Church! Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed [this] to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." • Matthew 16:16-19

GOD is building His Church! • The foundation (Rock) is the revelation that JESUS is the Son of God and the confession of that truth • He is building the Church and it is His Church. • The Gates of Hell will not overcome (stop) the building of the Church. • He give us the keys to unlock gates and bind and loose, we are at work too!

  4. We are His Co- Workers! NIV – 1 Corinthians 3:9- 17 • We are His Co-Workers • How we build is important (Love and Truth) • Jesus Christ is the foundation • We are the Temple of God

Jerusalem’s Restoration- God and His People building together O.T. • Captivity of Israel unfaithfulness to GOD • After 70 years 3 waves of restoration • Zerubbabel and Jeshua – First Wave, Temple and Social Restoration • Ezra- Second Wave, Spiritual Restoration • Nehemiah- Third Wave, Walls and GateRestorationand Reformation

  6. Experiencing GOD – H. Blackaby Becoming A Co-Worker Nehemiah Chapters 1-2:5 • God is always at work around you. (Neh. 1:2,3) • God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal. (Neh. 1: 3-8)

  7. Experiencing GOD – H. Blackaby Becoming A Co-Worker 3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work. (Neh.1:9-11) 4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.

  8. Experiencing GOD – H. Blackaby Becoming A Co-Worker 5. God's invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action. Neh. 2:2-5 6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.

  9. Experiencing GOD – H. Blackaby Becoming A Co-Worker 7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him and He accomplishes His work through you.
