Overview. Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Education thinks that Schools Funding is unfair and needs to change!The Governments overall aim is to move to a National Funding Formula for all Schools and AcademiesSince 2011, the DfE have issued 3 consultations on how the system can be simplified.

School Funding Reforms. Notional SEN: Elements 1, 2 and 3. Introduction. DSG funding reforms introduced the concept of ‘notional SEN’ in 2013-14 This is the idea that within school budgets was an allocation for dealing with ‘expensive’ children, with higher needs than a child without SEN.
