  4. 3.Alliance System a group of nations working together to achieve a certain goal

  5. 4.Triple Entente the name of the pre-WW1 alliance between France, Great Britain and Russia

  6. 5.Allied Powers The group formed by Great Britain, France, Italy, Russia and the U.S.

  7. 6. Central Powers The group formed by Germany, Bulgaria, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire

  8. 7.autocracy a government that has unlimited power, absolute control

  9. 8. Neutrality/Isolationism the approach that the U.S. took during the initial years of WW1

  10. 9.Woodrow Wilson U.S. President that attempted to keep us out of the War.

  11. 10. Propaganda Spreading information to get others to join a cause. LOVE this Propaganda!

  12. 11. Liberty Bond A government bond that was sold in the U.S. to support the Allies during WWI. A Bond is when an individual lets the Government borrow money to support a cause. The Gov't always pays the money back plus a little more. Favorite Liberty Bond

  14. 13.dissent to disagree with the goals/method of a political party or government

  15. 14. mobilization to assemble the military and supplies for service in case of war.

  16. 15. Lusitania British Ship sunk by German U-Boats (Submarines) 200 Americans Killed on the ship!

  17. 16. Zimmerman Note Note from Germany asking Mexico to help fight on Germany's side in the war. *After the war Germany would help Mexico gain back on land lost in the U.S. Note was Intercepted from Britain intelligence.
