  1. Tinned copper wires over Bare copper wires

  2. Bare copper wires are the most popular sets of copper used in electrical and mechanical circuits. They are typically classified as solid and stranded grade of bare coppers. They come under the classification of AA and A Class.

  3. Solid and stranded bare copper wires are widely used in the open-field projects. They find their use in the winding of overhead transmissions and in power distribution systems. The stranded bare copper wires are further classified into B and C segments that offer higher flexibility.

  4. One of the basic differentiations of copper wire families is the use of alloyed wires on top of the surface. These insulated copper wires offer better resistance against atmospheric factors like moisture, oxygen and saline mediums. Insulated copper wires are coated with metal amalgamations like tin, nickel or stainless steel. Tinned copper wires are the most competitive compositions used in the electrical circuits, standing at par with the bare copper wires in terms of volume of usage and durability.

  5. Copper wires from the bare segments are used in almost every electrical appliance, right from the car circuits to the city lights. Its impeccable conductivity and magnetic properties makes it an easy choice for use in solenoid rods. Its ductility and tensile strength is hard to match. It can be drawn into thin, flexible wires as well as beaten into thin plates.

  6. Tinned copper wires are used in speciality wire bundles and cables. It is a far better practical choice than other costlier options in alloyed bare copper wires segment. • Tinned copper wires have the following advantages over the bare copper wires. These are: • Long shelf life • Resistance to corrosion
