SJ • MARRIED: The right hand makes a circular motion over the left stationary hand and then comes down to clasp the left hand. • DIVORCED: Both D-hands are crossed at the wrist and then are pulled apart. • HUSBAND: The CLOSED C-hand shape starts at the forehead and comes out, closes and meets with the left hand clasping it. • WIFE: Combined sign: GIRL + MARRY The thumb moves down the chin then changes to two hands clasps together. • BABY: The natural position for cradling and rocking a baby with two arms held together

  2. SON: The thumb of the A hand touch the forehead, then the hand opens as it comes down and rests in the opposite arm. • DAUGHTER: The right A hand starts at the chin then moves down with the hand opening up and laying on the left cradled arm. • BROTHER: thumb touches the forehead and changes to an L as it moves downward and rests upon the wrist of the left L hand. • SISTER: The sign GIRL is signed first and then both L-hands come together in a downward motion in front of the chest. • FAMILY: Both F-hand shapes form a half circle coming away from the body.
