Why 90 days? • 90 Days is 25% of the year • Can managing your key risks wait that long? • How long does it really take get things done where you are? • Can you wait any longer to get a return on your safety investment • An optimal period of time to review and plan you and your teams performance

  3. Take a temperature check • Has your team delivered what it said it would do • Are there any emerging or critical risks that need attention • Are there any road blocks in the way • Are the foundations of your HSE program sound

  4. The best way to check the safety temperature • The After Action Review Process (AAR) • It's quick and easy • Provides valuable information • You can invite key people for a half hour analysis and get their valuable input

  5. Talk to your key stakeholders • Make personal contact and time for them • Do they need your assistance and help with safety? • What are they seeing and talking about? • Do they know what is coming up e.g. health checks, audits etc. • How can you help them improve safety in their area

  6. Act on what they say • Put your effort and resources into making a difference • If they tell you something follow it up • Deliver any news about the issue personally • If you can fix it quickly - just do it

  7. Communications • Review your communications strategy • What has worked what hasn't • What messages and feedback are Inbound • What messages are you sending out • Board and Senior Management • HSE committee
