  3. 1 Samuel 13:9-14 Saul’s sin • Saul let his circumstances affect his actions. • The problem was that Saul wasn’t qualified or appointed to make the offering.

  4. 1 Samuel 13:9-14 Saul’s sin • Saul’s excuses his sin. • I saw the people were leaving. • You were not here. • The Philistines gathered themselves together. • I haven’t made supplication yet. • I forced myself.

  5. 1 Samuel 13:15-23 Israel’s inability • Israel had no means to defend themselves.

  6. 1 Samuel 14:1-12 Jonathan’s faith • Faith doesn’t make truth exist. • Faith relies on truth that already exists. • Jonathon and his armorbearer are ready to die for what they believe.

  7. 1 Samuel 14:13-16 God gives the victory • This is a supernatural victory.

  8. 1 Samuel 14:17-23 Faith can be contagious • When people realize that God is giving the victory they start believing that God will give them the victory. • The result is they are obeying God by driving the enemy out.
