  1. NCSC 2018 Recreational Season Coaches and Parent Information

Important Dates • U6 & U8 Academy Tuesday 9/25/18 5pm • All coaches and teams must participate • Opening day – Saturday Oct. 20th, 2018 • Last Regular Season Game – Jan. 26, 2019 • U6 is finished • Nature Coast Cup – U8 thru U16 – Feb 2nd & 3rd • All teams must participate • Citrus Cup – Top 2 teams in age group – Feb 9th & 10th • 3v3 tournament – TBD in March

  3. Teams • Coaches will receive team rosters and pick practice locations today • Coaches- please contact all players by Friday 9/21 • Parents- If you have not heard from your coach by Friday 9/21 please email Jeff Brake ADOC@naturecoastsoccer.com

  4. Opening Day Oct 20th All teams will report to field @ 8:30 for opening ceremonies. Pictures will follow ceremonies Games will follow Pictures

  5. Additional Training Available Sunday Afternoons – Cost $5 per player For all players who want to be challenged at a higher level of play One goal is for identification, selection and training of potential “All-Star Team(s)” players Option of up to 3 additional tournaments after regular season for these teams

  11. Code of Conduct • Parents, coaches, fans and players must abide by the Nature Coast Soccer Club Code of Conduct. In addition, as a member of Florida Youth Soccer, all stakeholders mentioned above are also bound by FYSA policy and By-laws. Prior to play this year, all parents, players and coaches will be asked to sign forms stating your agreement to adhere to these policies.

  12. Code of Conduct - Coaches NCSC will not tolerate behavior which brings the club, team, or game into disrepute. NCSC has high standards for the conduct of its coaches. They must be the standard bearers of good sportsmanship, conduct and ethical behavior at all times. The club believes that the coach must set and maintain an example for all players and spectators to follow: : • The spirit of the game and its laws are non-negotiable. Coaches need to work hard to create success for the development of players and the team by following the rules and their intent. • Respect towards game officials, opponents, and players is absolutely required. Coaches must expect to be treated with respect, honor, and dignity and must demonstrate the same at all times. • The conduct of the players is a reflection of the coach. The coach is expected to uphold high standards of sportsmanship for all players at all times and remember that the reputation of the organization and town is formed by the behavior of all its representatives. • Coaches who fail to abide by these expectations may face disciplinary action by game officials, the Board of Directors of NCSC and FYSA • All functions of NCSC are contracted, permitted, private functions. Coaches who do not abide by these expectations may be required to leave the field by the referee, or any Board member of NCSC.

  13. Code of Conduct - Spectators NCSC will not tolerate behavior which brings the club, team, or game into disrepute. NCSC believes that the attitude shown by parents toward the coach, the referees, the opposing players and the importance of winning vs. losing are of paramount importance. Inappropriate comments or actions by adults bent on short- term success rather than the long range benefits undermines the essence of player development and introduces stresses which are inappropriate for children: • Encourage your player by word and example. The athlete is counting on you as their primary teacher – in soccer and in life! • Accept the decisions of referees and coaches with style and dignity. Never criticize a referee’s integrity, honesty or judgment. They are there to do an honest job which few others are willing to undertake. • Applaud good play by all players. Opponents are friends, for without them your child could not play. • All functions of NCSC are contracted, permitted, private functions. Spectators who do not abide by these expectations may be required to leave the field by the referee, the coach, or any Board member of NCSC.
