  3. Standard area description • Assessment and Evaluation • Teachers use technology to: evaluate student learning, interpret results from assessment tools, and evaluate student use of technology.

  4. Evaluation • Multiple methods of evaluation to determine student use of tech resources for learning, communication, productivity • On-line research assignment – Student Tasks • Develop critical question • Determine web-based research 2+ sites • Develop rubric and assess quality of each site

  5. One performance indicator • Create organizational tool for research “nuggets” (i.e.: Inspiration), add factoids • Develop PowerPoint • Develop rubric to assess PowerPoint (presentation mode and information mode) • Create blog site for student responses to the PowerPoint, read/interpret responses • Self-assess project via Word Document to teacher

  6. Individual Content Areas • Social Studies Research Topic • Science “Big Question” • Reading/Literature Analysis

  7. Interdisciplinary Project • Volcano Research Project • Select Volcano and Type of Volcano • Download an eruption clip • Create a timeline of volcano’s development • Design illustration of volcano in 200 years • Create/write a volcano myth

  8. Measuring Teacher Performance • Peer assessment of student projects • Quality of student assessment of project • Use of student data on sites for future classes • Teacher team assessment of student projects
