You must suggest different issues arising from theft or damage to hardware and the theft or damage to data within a given organisation. In this case South Nottingham College. P1

  2. Unit 7 Organisational Systems Security Threats to a system A major threat to any system is the damage or destruction of systems or information on a networked computer system. Threats include loss of files or data, natural disasters, malicious damage, technical failures, human error and theft.

  3. Unit 7 Organisational Systems Security Threats to a system Natural Disasters: Malicious Damage: Technical Faults: Human Error: Theft: Organisational Risks: In pairs investigate and provide examples of the above threats and the possible consequence of them.

Unit 7 Organisational Systems Security Human Error One of the most unpredictable and common causes of security issues in networks. • Forgetfulness, Ignorance, Innocence, Lack of knowledge • Backup data and place in a secure location • Erase hard drives before disposal of computers • Close ports on firewalls • All can lead to network intrusion and viruses • Increased attacks on broadband connections • Social engineering and phishing attacks
