  1. Crossing + Finishing • Coaching Elements • Combinations/support to create cross • Type of cross • Beckham – Just outside top of box or Boxside – from the side of the box • or Byline – from the byline or Backfoot – inside onto other foot (e.g. Ashley Young) • 3. Movement + Finish From 30 – 50 yds - Dependent upon age of players Width of the pitch (mini-soccer, 9 a side or full pitch) • Game Related Practice • 5 vs. 5 + GK’s (or any numbers – 6 v 6, 7 v 6 etc – can add full back(s)/2nd striker if more players) • Area – As per Skill Practice • Try to score from using the wide area – deep players can join in to overlap, receive set back to cross from deep etc. • Try to keep at least one player back in defending half • Skill Practice • 6 vs. 4 + GK’s • Area – use guides from diagram • Gk plays in to either FB, WM or CF and attack to try to score from a cross • Defenders upon regain clip into opposing GK’s hands and practice restarts • Offside beyond halfway line
