  2. What Is The Industry Data Survey? • The NRMCA surveys its membership, and 150-200 companies respond annually to a detailed questionnaire. • The questionnaires are sent to a third-party accounting firm that compiles the data, and issues the survey as a benchmark for industry performance

  3. What Is The Industry Data Survey? • Participating companies receive a customized report that compares their performance to their peers, both by size and by geographic region

Summary • 2006 was the most profitable year ever in the ready mixed concrete industry • The Typical Member had an average profit of $7.63 per cubic yard, and an 8.7% profit as a percent of sales dollars • The Top Quartile had an average profit of $10.62 per cubic yard, and an 11% profit as a percent of sales dollars • The Lowest Quartile had an average profit of $1.52 per cubic yard, and an 2% profit as a percent of sales dollars • Production levels for 2007 are predicted to be off by at least 10% from 2006
