White House Medical Unit (WHMU) WHMU serves the President, Vice President, their families and provides emergency coverage to White House visitors and guests Providers use AHLTA-Theater (virtualized) and Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) Access AHLTA-Garrison and the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) through a remote connection with the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, Md. CHCS enables DoD providers to electronically perform patient appointment processes and scheduling, order laboratory tests, retrieve test results, authorize radiology procedures and prescribe medications Currently in use at: • White House Residence Clinic • Camp David • Air Force One • New Executive Office Building (NEOB) • Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB) • Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX) • Private Residence of the Vice President (Naval Observatory) 3

Healthcare Artifact and ImageManagement Solution (HAIMS) HAIMS Release II HAIMS Release I • Provide the ability to access Artifacts and Images (A&I) • Provide repository to store A&I (non PACS sources) • Provide global database for registered A&I metadata • Provide non-diagnostic radiographic image access to DoD PACS images • Utilize a common graphical user interface • Enable CAC authentication • Provide an interface to search and retrieve A&I with the VA • Deploy HAIMS to nine LUT sites Capabilities Capabilities • Extend HAIMS Release I capability to integrate into the EHR clinical workflow • Provide mass ingestion capability for awareness and access to external A&I repositories • Provide bulk scanning capability • Provide DoD and VA clinicians access to DoD PACS diagnostic quality radiographic images • Deploy HAIMS to 16 additional sites Limited User Testing (LUT)Release 1 Benefits Benefits • Clinicians can access non-diagnostic radiological PACS images outside of a PACS workstation • Providers can search and access patient’s healthcare A&I internal and external to the MTF • HAIMS users can store artifacts within HAIMS and access it from any location • Ability to share data with VA • Clinicians can access diagnostic quality images from remote HAIMS locations • Providers will have the ability to access HAIMS A&I through the EHR application • Scan and store large volume of documents efficiently • Providers will have access to A&I stored in external repositories
