Four stages (cont’d) • Decision • Final package submitted to the General Council or the Ministerial Conference • Adopted by the majority of the 2/3 • The applicant is them free to sign the protocol and accede to the WTO • Usually ratified by country’s Parliament • 6 months after the agreement of WTO members, the later • 30 days after : the country is fully WTO member Training session - Vietnamese agriculture and WTO - Hanoi - sept. 2005
