  2. Dealing Effectively with Autism Disorders There is no known cure for autism and that means that autism and its disorders have to be managed with utmost care throughout the lifetime. Families of autistic children need to be supportive and educated about handling and helping an autistic individual and that is not always easy. Professional help in understanding and dealing with autism smoothens out many emotional stresses that is associated with the disorder. Special education, behaviour therapy and other therapies are handled by the ABA or the applied behaviour analysis. The individuals with ASD usually have impaired communication skills and repetitive behaviour patterns. Each individual however is different and needs to be treated differently.
