Beginnings • Created by US Congress in 1992 to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters • 501c3 Non Profit organization • all donations are tax deductible • Funding is not budgeted through the US fedreral budget • Funding is received through charitable donations and regional golf outings • over 50 golf outings held annually

  3. NFFF Programs • Funding for the NFFF goes to provide programs for the families of the fallen firefighters • LAST teams • Coordination of benefits • Survivor’s weekends • Lobbying for safety standards

  4. Greater Cincinnati Golf Outing • NFFF proposed CTFD to hold an annual golf outing after the deaths of Capt.Broxterman and FF Schira • First one was held in 2009 – Grand Victoria Casino and Resort • Goal – Have fun and make a difference • To date: Almost $40,000 has been donated to the NFFF from the Greater Cincy Golf Outing
