Sweden Days in Olsztyn. Swedish week started from Pippi adn Emil`s Day –the heroes of Astrid Lindgren`s books.Students from classes 4 to 6, dressed up as Pippi and Emil. They went to yoynger colleagues and told them curiosities about Sweden.

  1. Sweden Days in Olsztyn

  2. Swedish week started from Pippi adn Emil`s Day –the heroes of Astrid Lindgren`s books.Students from classes 4 to 6, dressed up as Pippi and Emil.

  3. They went to yoynger colleagues and told them curiosities about Sweden.

  4. At the same time, class o and 1a together with their tutors made swedish folk costiumes. All works were represented at school`s exhibition.

  5. Second day was dedicated to motoring. Each class had to make a racing and later they took part in Swedish Rally WRC.

  6. On the gym there were 13 teams. The fastest drivers were awarded with cups. Those students who made the most inventive cars got books about motoring as a prize.

  7. All the cars were shown rest of the students on the school`s hall. During that day younger students also learned swedish daners. Their skills were later shown children from class 0.

  8. On Wednesday class 6e pupils were preparing a Swedish tourist guide. All the information were collected and chosen by these students very carefully in order to make an interesting and useful tourist informatin booklet.The most interesting facts about Sweden were depicted on the school corridor walls to share them with other students, teachers and visitors.

  9. The students from class 6d learned a lot about the Swedish callendar. They compared our festivals to those from Sweden. They also discussed on which of the Swedishfestivals can be adopted into the Polish callendar. Several pictures showing some Polish and Swedish festivals were drawn by the students from class 3e. Older students used these drawings to make a special theme exhibition.

  10. Next day was called ‘the day of open doors’ so all the people from our local comunity and paredts could see the exhibition dnd the children’s works. There was also organised Mini Playback Show of Swedish songs which took place on the second floor of our school. The audience could listen to famous songs of ABBA, Roxette and others. The best singers were given prizes and the people who listened to the concert showed ther appreciation by clapping and chearing.

  11. Bullerbyn village was built just next to the stage. The houses in the village were painted by the pupils which was a great fun. To make the village more interesting the pupils created some paper characters of A. Lingren book.

  12. Next to the stage there was the Maind Odyssey exhibition.The enterprise was connected with the traveller’s notes. Pippi became the guide of this tour. She took all ‘the tourists’ into two real places : the Royal Palace and the Stockholm Town Hall.

  13. The third place (not a real one) was A. Lingren monument made of chocolate.The visitors also could see the gold ball where the Swedish queen’s face cream was stored. The queen used the cream to become the most beautiful woman of the world.

  14. Last day of our Swedish adventure was a great parade of famous people from this northern country.

  15. Some boys and girls dressed up and imitated some famous people such as Nobel, king and queen, members of ABBA and Roxette.

  16. At the end of Swedish week in our school some students from class 6 were learning Swedish songs and all they we could listen to their singing and learning Swedish verbs.
