  2. Romans 7 NKJV Rom 7:1 Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? Rom 7:21-25 21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God — through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

  17. The Deliverance! • Rom 7:25 I thank God — through Jesus Christ our Lord! • So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. • (In Christ we are set free to receive the power of choice to overcome sin in the flesh)

  18. Bad News Folks, it Ain’t Easy • It’s a battle! • However it’s a battle that you are guaranteed to win • Only if you understand and diligently apply the Spiritual Laws the Lord makes available to everyone

The Battle to Change Forces to Keep You Down: Circumstances, Temptations, Traditions, Old Habits, Addictions, Negative Attitude, Family, Friends, Past Failures, Guilt, Shame – all enhanced by the Devil When you start to change they come to get you back down where you were Your World Determination to Change

  21. Spiritual Laws that Say“I Win” • Rom 7:23 The law of my Mind • Rom 7:16 I agree with the law that it is good. (Referring to God’s Law as revealed in Scripture – even though it condemns me) • Use the “LAW of the MIND” to “Choose” God’s ways and agree that His Law is good no matter how discouraged/tempted you are or impossible it seems

Spiritual Laws that Say“I Win” • The “LAW of the SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST JESUS” • Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. • We are dependent upon the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit to overcome and change • See Ps 34:4-6

  23. By Using the Law of the Mind You Invoke the Power to Change Rom 7:25 So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. NKJV

  24. If you are “In Christ” then you must come to realize that you are living in a higher plane than the purely natural / physical realm.The Power of God in Christ Jesus that lifted you to this higher plane will also release progressively the power of change and spiritual maturity.

  25. Romans 8:1-3There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. NKJV

  26. Paul’s Confession: • Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. • The inner man – is our spirit man, who, if we are in Christ Jesus is seated in heavenly places with Him
