  3. THE COLLECTION Five collecting areas African Asian Contemporary Modern Photography . . . as well as prints, Latin American art, Precolumbian art, some ancient ceramics and coins.

Current Exhibitions Open Engagement: Strategies in Art, Love and War A Sense of Place: African Interiors Open Engagement presents 25 international artists who explore, recreate and imagine the nuances of love and war across time and place. A Sense of Place reveals the original spatial contexts of African artworks by exhibiting them in unconventional modes.
  5. Current Exhibitions Sebastião Salgado: World Witness What you’ll see: 42 photographs that document refugees, displaced people, and victims and survivors of mass migrations in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
  6. Current Exhibitions closing Sept. 11 The Mind’s Eye, 50 Years of Photography by Jerry Uelsmann Alchemy: From Dust to Form presents new and innovative works from the contemporary field of American ceramics.

  8. TOURS OF THE MUSEUM Free guided tours 2 p.m. every Saturday & Sunday Tours designed for your courses. Curators, members of the education staff and museum docents can tailor tours to stimulate lively discussion about concepts, themes and issues related to your course content. Resources and training for faculty who want to teach in the museum and lead their own tours.

  10. OBJECT SELECTION FOR RESEARCH Object Study Rooms may be reserved for classes to examine selected art works from permanent collection storage. Reserve a drawer and items for placement in our photography and print case located in the galleries.

  17. Museum Nights at the Harn are fun and creative evening of entertainment and learning for all ages. Join us for activities, lectures, performances, music, games, food and art! The 2nd Thursday of every month, 6 – 9 p.m Museum Nights is an ongoing program made possible by the generous support of the University of Florida Office of the Provost, Honors Program and Student Government. FREE ADMISSION (always!)

FAMILY PROGRAMS [create one slide on family programs, here] Tot Time Children aged 2-5 and their parents Gallery tours with art materials, books, games & exploration of age-appropriate concepts.   27. UFPA Internship Program Great way to gain valuable experience, learn new skills and network. Opportunity to see and/or work at some of UFPA’s performances. Interns are expected to complete at least 10 hours per week, for either a semester or year-long commitment. Interns can earn course credit.
