  2. Founding History • The founding date of the mission was January 12,1777. • The mission was name after Saint Clare Assisi. • The mission was nick name by Mission Santa Clara and also it was the eighth mission in California.

  3. Location • The mission was built by the SanFranciso bay areas. • The mission was built by the bay areas so when other spanish travelers would know it’s there land. • Also they built the mission to claim it’s land.

  4. Design/Layout The layout was the shape a quadrangle of the mission. The mission had a church,courtyard,vineyard,sodier’s quarter,cemetery,friar,and a workshop.

Mission Life Native American Life Mission Life • The native life was tiring cause they had to farm, tan leather,weaving,and make tools. • The women had to wove blankets and baskets also they would get whipped or chain if they'd didn’t do their work. • The child were also separated from their parent. • For the mission life they’d would have to wake up when the bell rings. • The mission would have to make the native work all day too and would also have to guard the mission. • The mission uses the native to do the work all day to keep the mission running.

  6. Mission Life Today The mission life now at the Santa Clara is now a university and belongs to the community of the city. The other historic Items like the well was covered cause its and old historic fact that could break. And it has a time when it closes at 6pm and opens 8pm.

  7. Take a stand The mission system was bad because: • The made the children stay away from there parents and made the natives work all day. 2.The native would have to follow the rules of the mission and have follow the bell when it dings and they bells mean to wake up,breakfeast,work,move on ,and to sleep. 3. If the native didn’t work they would have to get punish by being chain or whipped. 4. The mission was also being unfair with the native to they’d were tired and hungry all day long too.
